Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Bright Meridian Care Services is a social-care provider serving older adults and people with disabilities around Jackson, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would join a large organisation of about 790 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Turn requests about client records into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with client records. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with a monthly team day in Jackson. • We reply to every applicant.
