Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

We are growing our team at Ironwood Granite Insurance and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. We care about how people feel on the worst day of their year. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about underwriting files into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Cleveland. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
