Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

We are growing our team at Bright Ember Water Authority and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people, working mostly from home. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about pipe repairs into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with pipe repairs. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Miami. • We reply to every applicant.
