Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (remote)

Greenridge Harbor Telecom provides broadband and phone service around Jackson, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about network equipment into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with network equipment. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, spread across three days. • Remote-friendly, with a monthly team day in Jackson. • We reply to every applicant.
