Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Philadelphia, PA)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Yarrow Telecom and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. You would join a small organisation of about 26 people based in Philadelphia. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about network equipment into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with network equipment. Working arrangement • Contract for twelve months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Philadelphia. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
