Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Nashville, TN)

We are growing our team at Highbridge Pike Water Authority and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about capital projects into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with capital projects. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Nashville. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
