Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Kansas City, MO)

Stonegate Forge Energy delivers power and gas plans across the Kansas City region. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on internal tools. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about meter readings into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with meter readings. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
