Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Kansas City, MO)

Fernwood Kestrel Early Learning is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for enrolment, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We celebrate small wins and steady routines. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about enrolment into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with enrolment. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, with a steady weekday schedule. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
