Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Kansas City, MO)

Bright Thistle Early Learning is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for licensing records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Kansas City. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about licensing records into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with licensing records. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
