Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Hartford, CT)

Highbridge Thistle Water Authority is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for pipe repairs, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with pipe repairs. Working arrangement • Full-time, Monday to Friday. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
