Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Hartford, CT)

Clearpath Community Partners is a nonprofit in Hartford supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. We are small enough to know everyone's name. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about volunteer shifts into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with volunteer shifts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Hartford, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
