Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Hartford, CT)

Foxglove Timber Insurance Partners sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Hartford, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about premium billing into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with premium billing. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Hartford. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
