Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Grand Rapids, MI)

Bluepeak Wilder Financial provides savings, lending and payment services from Grand Rapids, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. You would join a large organisation of about 621 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about customer onboarding into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with customer onboarding. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Grand Rapids. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
