Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Fort Worth, TX)

We are growing our team at Cedar Haven Water Authority and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. Safety and public health guide our decisions. What you will do • Turn requests about treatment plant data into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with treatment plant data. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Fort Worth, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
