Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Detroit, MI)

Redstone Iron Learning Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for attendance records, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about attendance records into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with attendance records. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Detroit. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
