Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Cleveland, OH)

Ironwood Granite Insurance is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for customer complaints, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. We invest in training for new adjusters. What you will do • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Cleveland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
