Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Birmingham, AL)

Nova Summit Pharma is a pharmaceutical company in Birmingham producing generic and specialty treatments, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our internal tools. Quality is everyone's job here, not a department. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about clinical studies into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with clinical studies. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
