Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Austin, TX)

We are growing our team at Rivermark Vista Insurance and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be internal tools. You would join a large organisation of about 205 people based in Austin. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about underwriting files into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
