Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Austin, TX)

Silverline Bridge Inspection Services Group is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for scheduling, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about scheduling into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with scheduling. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 16 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Austin. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
