Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Austin, TX)

Greenridge Kestrel Community Partners is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for client intake, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 155 people based in Austin. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about client intake into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with client intake. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Austin. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
