Senior Software Engineer - internal tools (Austin, TX)

Rivermark Ivory Transit Planning is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on internal tools for route schedules, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a large organisation of about 477 people based in Austin. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Turn requests about route schedules into simple, maintainable software. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with route schedules. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Austin. • We reply to every applicant.
