Senior Software Engineer - integrations (Rochester, NY)

Northwind Fox Insurance sells home, auto and small-business insurance in Rochester, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our integrations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with customer complaints. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
