Senior Software Engineer - integrations (Rochester, NY)

Bright Loom Community Partners is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for grant reporting, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Flexibility and kindness are expected. What you will do • Turn requests about grant reporting into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with grant reporting. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Rochester, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
