Senior Software Engineer - integrations (Rochester, NY)

Cedar Vista Learning Group is an education provider in Rochester serving students and families, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our integrations. You would join a small organisation of about 18 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Turn requests about school calendars into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with school calendars. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Rochester. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
