Senior Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

Harborlight Umber Telecom builds and runs fibre and wireless networks in the Jackson area. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on integrations. We keep people connected and take outages personally. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about outage reports into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. Nice to have • Experience with outage reports. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • Fully remote, with quarterly visits in Jackson. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
