Senior Software Engineer - integrations (remote)

We are growing our team at Amberfield North Insurance and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with underwriting files. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • Fully remote, with an occasional day on site in Dallas. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
