Senior Software Engineer - integrations (Kansas City, MO)

Summit Forge Transit Planning Partners is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for ridership counts, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about ridership counts into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with ridership counts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Kansas City. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
