Senior Software Engineer - integrations (Kansas City, MO)

Westbrook Pike Learning Group is an education provider in Kansas City serving students and families. We are hiring a Senior Software Engineer to take on integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Turn requests about student accounts into simple, maintainable software. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with student accounts. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Kansas City, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
