Senior Software Engineer - integrations (Grand Rapids, MI)

Fernwood Field Community Partners Group is a nonprofit in Grand Rapids supporting families with food, housing and job help, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our integrations. You would join a large organisation of about 424 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about donor records into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with donor records. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
