Senior Software Engineer - integrations (Grand Rapids, MI)

Westbrook Lantern Learning Group runs classrooms and tutoring across the Grand Rapids area, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our integrations. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Turn requests about school calendars into simple, maintainable software. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. Nice to have • Experience with school calendars. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Grand Rapids, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
