Senior Software Engineer - integrations (Grand Rapids, MI)

We are growing our team at Redstone Amber Insurance Group and adding a Senior Software Engineer whose main responsibility will be integrations. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Turn requests about customer complaints into simple, maintainable software. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Cloud deployment experience. • Experience with customer complaints. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We reply to every applicant.
