Senior Software Engineer - integrations (Baltimore, MD)

Bright Bridge Energy supplies electricity and gas to homes and businesses around Baltimore, and we need a Senior Software Engineer to lead our integrations. Reliability is the job, and people here take pride in answering the phone at 3 a.m. when needed. What you will do • Integrate our systems with vendors and partners through APIs. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Turn requests about service connections into simple, maintainable software. What we are looking for • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with service connections. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Baltimore. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
