Senior Software Engineer - integrations (Austin, TX)

Summit Ridge Insurance is looking for a Senior Software Engineer. The job centres on integrations for underwriting files, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Claims teams work together and share what they learn. What you will do • Turn requests about underwriting files into simple, maintainable software. • Improve monitoring so we hear about problems before customers do. • Fix bugs quickly and add tests so they stay fixed. • Review teammates' code and share what you learn. • Build and maintain web features used every day by our staff and customers. What we are looking for • Comfort with SQL and a relational database. • Proficiency in a mainstream language such as TypeScript, Python, Java or C#. • Two or more years of professional software development. • Care about security and privacy of the data we hold. Nice to have • Experience with underwriting files. • Cloud deployment experience. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Austin, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
