Senior Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Grand Rapids, MI)

Summit Glen Foods is a Grand Rapids food manufacturer supplying grocers and food-service customers. We are hiring a Senior Purchasing Coordinator to take on supplier orders. You would join a large organisation of about 724 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Keep stock linked to allergen controls at sensible levels. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support allergen controls. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 20 hours a week, mornings. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
