Senior Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Birmingham, AL)

Northwind Birch Freight is a Birmingham logistics company with trucks, warehouses and dispatch. We are hiring a Senior Purchasing Coordinator to take on supplier orders. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Birmingham. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to proof of delivery at sensible levels. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support proof of delivery. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Birmingham. • We reply to every applicant.
