Senior Purchasing Coordinator - supplier orders (Birmingham, AL)

Lumen Pike Markets is a Birmingham retailer with stores, a distribution centre and online ordering. We are hiring a Senior Purchasing Coordinator to take on supplier orders. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. • Keep stock linked to pricing at sensible levels. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. What we are looking for • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. • Organised and courteous with suppliers. Nice to have • Knowledge of suppliers that support pricing. • Experience with an ERP system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Birmingham. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
