Senior Purchasing Coordinator - price comparison (Richmond, VA)

We are growing our team at Lumen Beacon Early Learning and adding a Senior Purchasing Coordinator whose main responsibility will be price comparison. Low staff turnover is a goal we take seriously. What you will do • Match invoices to orders and resolve differences. • Place and track purchase orders with suppliers. • Keep stock linked to meal programmes at sensible levels. • Compare prices and delivery times and recommend where to buy. • Maintain supplier records and contracts. What we are looking for • Organised and courteous with suppliers. • Experience in purchasing, procurement or inventory. • Strong spreadsheet and negotiation skills. Nice to have • Experience with an ERP system. • Knowledge of suppliers that support meal programmes. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Richmond, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
