Senior Production Supervisor - scheduling and staffing (Omaha, NE)

Cedar Ember Press produces print and digital publications in Omaha. We are hiring a Senior Production Supervisor to take on scheduling and staffing. Many of us have been here for ten years or more. What you will do • Report daily on output, downtime and paper stock. • Work with maintenance and planning to reduce delays. • Keep safety, hygiene and quality standards visible and followed. • Coach and train team members and handle attendance. • Run a shift, assign work and keep production on plan. What we are looking for • Comfort with production metrics. • Firm, fair and calm. • Two or more years in a supervisory or lead role. Nice to have • Lean or Six Sigma training. • Experience with paper stock. Working arrangement • Contract for three months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Omaha. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
