Senior Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Jackson, MS)

Summit River Staffing places workers with employers around Jackson, and we need a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead our timekeeping audits. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
