Senior Payroll Specialist - timekeeping audits (Chicago, IL)

We are growing our team at Northwind Summit Construction and adding a Senior Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be timekeeping audits. You would join a small organisation of about 92 people based in Chicago. What you will do • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Chicago. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
