Senior Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Oakland, CA)

Amberfield Sable Staffing Group is a Oakland staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles, and we need a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead our multi-state payroll. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Oakland. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Full-time, on a regular day shift. • On site in Oakland, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
