Senior Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (New Orleans, LA)

Bluepeak North Staffing Group is a New Orleans staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles. We are hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist to take on multi-state payroll. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 28 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in New Orleans. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
