Senior Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Grand Rapids, MI)

Redstone Willow Staffing connects candidates and employers across the Grand Rapids region. We are hiring a Senior Payroll Specialist to take on multi-state payroll. You would join a small organisation of about 22 people based in Grand Rapids. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, with flexible days. • On site in Grand Rapids. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
