Senior Payroll Specialist - multi-state payroll (Atlanta, GA)

Fernwood Pike Construction is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist. The job centres on multi-state payroll for subcontractor invoices, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. Site safety is non-negotiable. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Atlanta, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
