Senior Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Rochester, NY)

We are growing our team at Fernwood Beacon Financial Group and adding a Senior Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be hourly payroll. You would join a large organisation of more than 1,000 people based in Rochester. What you will do • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Rochester. • We will tell you what to expect at each step of the hiring process.
