Senior Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Memphis, TN)

Bright Iron Construction is looking for a Senior Payroll Specialist. The job centres on hourly payroll for permits, and it would suit someone who likes steady, practical work. You would join a small organisation of about 169 people based in Memphis. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for eight months, with the possibility of becoming permanent. • On site in Memphis. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
