Senior Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Madison, WI)

We are growing our team at Bluepeak Kestrel Financial and adding a Senior Payroll Specialist whose main responsibility will be hourly payroll. You would join a large organisation of about 421 people based in Madison. What you will do • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for four months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Madison, with some flexibility after the first few months. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
