Senior Payroll Specialist - hourly payroll (Houston, TX)

Lumen Nest Staffing is a Houston staffing firm for warehouse, office and healthcare roles, and we need a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead our hourly payroll. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. What we are looking for • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. Nice to have • Payroll certification. • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. Working arrangement • Contract for nine months, with a review at the end and a chance of extension. • On site in Houston, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
