Senior Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (New Orleans, LA)

Northwind Rook Financial is a financial-services company in New Orleans, and we need a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead our benefit deductions. You would work closely with colleagues in operations, support and management. What you will do • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. What we are looking for • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Contract for six months, with clear deliverables from the first week. • On site in New Orleans, with some flexibility after the first few months. • We reply to every applicant.
