Senior Payroll Specialist - benefit deductions (Jackson, MS)

Bright Sable Staffing connects candidates and employers across the Jackson region, and we need a Senior Payroll Specialist to lead our benefit deductions. Recruiters here keep in touch with people long after placement. What you will do • Prepare quarterly filings and year-end forms. • Audit timecards and resolve discrepancies with supervisors. • Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried staff. • Answer employee pay questions promptly and clearly. • Handle garnishments, benefit deductions and new-hire setup. What we are looking for • Knowledge of wage-and-hour rules and multi-state basics. • Two or more years of payroll experience. • Strong accuracy, especially under a deadline. Nice to have • Experience with ADP, Paycom or a similar system. • Payroll certification. Working arrangement • Part-time, about 24 hours a week, afternoons. • On site in Jackson. • Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.
